Featuring the Artwork of Tiffany Sharpe
Tiffany is a mixed media artist and bookmaker who works with watercolor, textiles, and layered materials to create beautifully textured designs. Her washi tapes are created from her original artwork and inspired by her love of fabric snippet rolls.
In the photos below, Tiffany recreated the Washi Tape Journal using her Patchwork Washi Set, which includes two extra-wide tapes designed to resemble stitched fabric strips. One roll reflects the past with vintage-inspired fabrics in greens, yellows, and soft pinks, while the other captures the present with hand-dyed and marked fabrics in grungy pinks, turquoise, and gray.
The result is a journal cover that feels almost like a piece of stitched textile.
Of course, you can make this project using any washi tape you have on hand, but Tiffany’s tapes show how expressive and textural this simple book can become.
